Webbie
My nickname, you will not be surprised to read, was given to me by Niki (who runs the ScouseVeg social group and website). I think it was in revenge for me nicknaming and always calling her Veggie - even though she is a Vegan. But the name is appropriate since this is what I do.

I am not just a website designer, but a web builder, developer and consultant of virtual domiciles too.

A brief bio before I do the hard sell :

Originally from the NorthWest of England, I’ve lived in Manchester and Liverpool, but after moving around a bit more finally settled in North Carolina, U.S.A.

Before the last move I worked for a large Oxford publishing company specialising in online publishing for academic libraries and their journals. After emigrating I decided to do this for myself full time.

I am available for hire and I like to help anyone get online.
From simple photo albums to blogs and full blown websites. Not only with the design of them but with the redesign of your existing sites (if you have one), plus - and this is where I differ - the administration of your website.

Most people don’t have either the time or the patience to create or keep their online presence updated, which is where I can help you. For either a fee up front or a small monthly payment I can create, or update and manage the site on your behalf. You maintain complete control and you instruct me on what content you would like to see, I then do the research and post everything on the website. Examples below.

Some of my work…

A private website about the band “A Flock Of Seagulls”, but also about music, the arts and culture.

The official website of the ex-A Flock Of Seagulls lead guitarist, now a solo artist.

Liverpool based vegetarian and vegan social group. The website was recently seen on the UK Channel 4 TV show: “Come Dine With Me”

A self defense training website, which also sells collectable knives, adventure gear and accessories (currently in developement)

“The Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections” is a traveling exhibit comprised of photographs, text in story form and 200 vintage aprons.

Design Archives is a vintage clothing and furniture store in downtown Greenboro, North Carolina.

From Wikipedia:

“Adinkra are symbols common in Western African societies, particularly the Akan people of Ghana, that represent concepts or aphorisms. Adinkra are used on fabric, walls, in pottery and logos. Fabric adinkra are often made by woodcut printing. [Link]

Dr Celeste Williams is in the process of creating some new urban apparel which is eco-friendly. All her clothing will be using non sweatshop made t-shirts and all labelling will be from recycled paper.

Big things will become of this project.

2ManyKids.com is the website that showcases the talents of Jacob Williams (brother of Celeste of Wear Adinkra, above). Jacob is a Director of short films and TV commercials. You’ve seen his work - have a look at the Home Depot advert on the site. When the ad agencies want a specific look for a commercial, Jacob is the one.

A hobby site created and run by myself. It combines two of my favourite passions - football (known as soccer in the USA) and music.
For some unknown reason these two worlds shouldn’t meet, but they have. On Football & Music I search to discover and make note for everyone of these sometime embarrassing recordings.

That’s it so far, but there are more websites to come…
